Inspired by his amateur painter father, Harry-James became interested in drawing very early on. In the Paris suburbs, he created his first aerosol spray murals while practicing human beat boxing for his rapper friend who would later become famous under the name Mc Solaar.

By presenting his graffiti artist portfolio, HJ is hired as a decorator at DisneyLand Paris. After a few years of notable work, the company entrusted him with the renovation of the castle's paintings.  for the 20th anniversary of the park, as well as the creation of designs for future attractions.

At the same time, Harry-James continues to evolve within urban cultures. He exhibits alongside Jonone, he sculpts trophies rewarding artists of the Hip Hop movement (Kool Shen, Oxmo...) His work is presented on the show Nulle Part Ailleurs on Canal + He redesigns “The Vitruvian Man” by Leonardo da Vinci, crossed by a wave of undulation as a logo for the Hip Hop dance competition “Juste Debout”

In 2012, in Paris he won the largest “Art Battles” that had been organized in Europe, in front of a selection of the best French street artists. In 2015, he created, through a performance, the portraits of Kery James and Jean Ferrat for the video “L'Heure des Poètes” by Grand Corps Malade. Artistically, HJ took a break to teach drawing in the capital for 8 years. In 2024 in Paris, he painted a fresco within an architectural work by Jean Nouvel, in what is now the 3rd tallest tower in Paris (Tours Duo). This summer in Monaco, his works were sold at auction for the benefits of the Prince Albert II Foundation (Upaint Festival 2024)
